The Auckland Huskies have made the decision to release guard Tinashe Matambanadzo with immediate effect.

“In what is a very fast-moving season, we have identified the need to make an adjustment to the make-up of our roster,” stated Huskies General Manager Matt Lacey.

“Tinashe has been an absolute asset to the Auckland Huskies from the very first pre-draft evaluation he attended. These decisions are tough but Tinashe has been the ultimate professional in how he has handled himself throughout his time with the Huskies.

“Tinashe is a resilient and hard-working player. We wish him all the best for the future.
